Pastor Randy and his wife Debbie began serving here in June 2014, after serving a year on Staff at the United Methodist Center of the North Alabama Annual Conference Office of Disaster Response and Recovery, helping close out the work and mission of Recovery from the 2011 Tornado Outbreak. He also served as Pastor of Kimberly United Methodist church during this time.
Pastor Randy has served congregations across the North Alabama Annual Conference since 1974. His hobbies include working in the yard, woodworking, and his favorite hobby is riding his motorcycle. He and Debbie bring an excitement and passion for the Kingdom of God.
Margie has been involved in Children’s Ministries for several years before becoming a part of this great staff. She has served in a variety of ministry settings and brings those experiences with her to help grow these kids into Disciples of Jesus.
We have seen a significant increase in the number of kids here at Sheffield First and it is dues to her leadership, passion and gifts in this important Kingdom work. She is innovative and creative which has caused all of the kids to love “Miss Margie”!
Linda grew up at Sheffield First before coming on board as a Staff Member. Her compassionate heart for youth is evident in her weekly gatherings and in those special events she plans for them. She has the well deserved respect and love from those who have learned about Jesus through her leadership. Linda is also our Safe Sanctuary Coordinator and Trainer.
Every Sunday morning and on Wednesday nights (and sometimes for special events), we provide a highly trained, skilled and even more highly caring team for the Nursery. These are paid staff member to insure that your child will find both a familiar and comfortable environment while here at Sheffield First. We are very proud of our Nursery Team. You can feel safe leaving your children in their compassionate care. We have required sign-ins and pick-up policies to assure you that your child will always be safe with us.
Shane and The Edge Praise Band lead us into a high energy, spirit-filled worship experience. Shane is a noted musician and song writer from our area, playing with many notable artists, including Lenny LeBlanc. Shane’s heart is for worship that exalts our God first and foremost for who He is. He sees worship as the gateway into God’s presence on earth, and a prelude to worship in heaven
Dr. Terrance Brown comes to us by way of the University of North Alabama where he serves as a professor. Dr. Brown is originally from West Blockton, Alabama. He received his doctorate from Louisiana State University. He brings a vast array of knowledge and experience to our Chancel Choir. He is also active with the performing group SOLAS
Bro. Bill is also a retired Naval Reserve Chaplain (Veteran of Desert Storm). Bill provides care and ministry to those who are unable to attend regularly. We are blessed to have him share his gifts and graces in ministry
